We are delighted to announce that one of our trustees, Dr Ibrar Majid, has been awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours 2020 for services to healthcare. A consultant peadiatric orthopaedic surgeon, Ibrar has been a trustee at DWW for more than a decade, including his position as chairman from 2010 – 2020.
Dr Ibrar has worked on both emergency and long term programmes for DWW in sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia, as well as leading the development of the office and team here in UK.
Ibrar also led the medical response at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital following the MEN Arena Bombing in 2017, and was presented with the ‘This Morning Emergency Services Award for Special Recognition’ at the 2017 Pride of Britain Awards by Prince William.
Congratulations Ibrar!
