Doctors Worldwide

Royal College of General Practitioners Event

Doctors Worldwide UK was kindly asked to support a disasters preparedness event at RCGP hosted by the North and West London faculty. The event was aimed at helping GPs understand the medical response to disasters like Grenfell, celebrate those that acted, and how to respond should an emergency take place on their doorstep. The workshop delivered was part of Doctors Worldwide UK existing 2-day course on global health where we ran a simulated earthquake scenario. Attendees were able to appreciate some of the critical communication and leadership elements, as well as the emphasis on understanding stakeholder roles in disaster response.
