Let your Qurbani benefit others

October 15, 2012

Muslims observe Qurbani during Eid ul Adha and as part of Hajj rites by making a sacrifice of an animal and sharing the meat with the less fortunate. For many people around the world, meat means nutrition, which they cannot get from any other food. It also means celebration but is an expensive treat that many rarely get to enjoy.

Doctors Worldwide is appealing to our friends and supporters to purchase their Qurbani and help those in need. We source all the animals locally to contribute to the regions economy and support local farmers. The meat is distributed fresh during the days of Eid ul Adha.

Doctors Worldwide is also offering an additional nutrition element to our Qurbani Appeal – it allows your donation to provide extra value to those you are helping. For just £40, your Qurbani donation will provide between 10 – 11 kilograms of meat and 5 kilograms of rice to at least five different families.

We also have a unique tracking system which enables you to track the whereabouts of your Qurbani animal via GPS coordinates  and Google maps. Where possible, we will also provide you with access to pictures of your specific animal.

Poverty is a daily part of the lives of the people we help and your Qurbani donation will enable them join you in the celebration of Eid ul Adha.

Please remember that the deadline for Qurbani donations is the 24th October 2012. This is to ensure that our team have ample time to source the animals and carry out your Qurbani during the days of Eid ul Adha.

When purchasing a Qurbani on behalf of someone else or in their memory, please use the “comments” box on the Donate section to advise us of their names.
