19,500 Iftar meals served among DWW’s neighbours in Kenya

At DWW Mualafatul Kulub (MK) in Kenya, many of our neighbours in the village were fasting in Ramadan. As many locals earn $1 per day or less, the MK Team suggested an Iftar cooked food program for the entire month.

We planned to provide 12,600 meals to 420 vulnerable people who suffer from food poverty, but thanks to ours donors and their solidarity Doctors Worldwide ended up serving 19,500 meals among 650 widows, teenage children, single parents and the elderly who live near of our health care centre in Kenya.

We are delighted to sharing with our donors and supporters some pictures about how everyone got the chance to eat during Ramadan.
