19,500 Iftar meals served among DWW’s neighbours in Kenya

At DWW Mualafatul Kulub clinic in Kenya, many of our neighbours in the village were fasting in Ramadan. As many locals earn $1 per day or less, we decided to provide a cooked Iftar meal for the poorest members of the community for the entire month.

We planned to provide 12,000 meals to over 400 vulnerable people who suffer from food poverty. Thanks to our generous donors, however, we were able to exceed this initial plan and provide over 19,o00 meals to 650 widows, teenage children, single parents and elderly, who live near our health care centre in Kenya.
