Partnership with Syria Relief
As a charity that provides humanitarian aid and medical relief, we are always striving to ensure that our skills and resources are used in the most effective way. As a creative and innovative bunch we decided to offer our expertise and knowledge to the British and European Syrian Diaspora Communities – many of whom are healthcare specialists, who had decided to set up an independent charity called Syria Relief.
Syria Relief is a UK charity (Registered Charity No: 1143797) established in September 2011, whose aim is to help provide medical relief and emergency humanitarian aid inside Syria.With the impossibility of foreign volunteers and NGOs being able to operate there, Syria Relief’s direct communication channels, volunteers and staff on the ground gave it an unique ability to deliver in the field in areas such as Homs, Aleppo, Idlib and Damascus.
In May 2012, we formalised a partnership to provide significant capacity building and technical support to Syria Relief. Our joint efforts have created channels for larger Charities such as Human Appeal International, Ummah Welfare Trust and Muslim Aid to direct their funding into Syria. Our project work is focused on mobile health clinics, provision of chronic disease medicines supply and emergency food.
