DWW helping victims of flood affected areas in Northern Ghana

Doctors Worldwide started a relief mission for the victims of recent flooding in Norrthen Ghana. DWW co-ordinating its effort with a local charity called Northern Ghana Aid (NOGAID). DWW sent funds for food and medicine.

DWW-NOGAID teams travelled both by rough roads and canoes to the most severely flooded communities. The teams distributed relief directly to the affected people since most of relief agencies rely on government institutions to reach-out to affected people. We distributed medicine and food to women, children and farmers who haven`t received any relief since flooding.

DWW is also going to start a volunteer programme to support local hospitals and clinics in Northern Ghana. We will announce this programme soon.
