Doctors Worldwide has started food distribution project in Democratic Republic of Congo. DWW has taken the opportunity to use Muslim religious festival Eid-ul Adha (sacrificing animals and distribute to poor following prophet Abraham`s rituel) for food distribution in Congo (DRC). All the donation were collected from Turkey by DWW-Turkey and sent to Congo(DRC). Project started yesterday and will be completed in three days time. In total 2700 animals will be sacrificed and meat will be distributed in Katanga region as well as Goma and Kinshasa. DWW local partner RADEM carry out the project. Congo is one of the poorest countries in the world.
