20 Million people were affected by the 2010 floods in Pakistan, with over 800,000 homes destroyed and over 1/5th of the country’s land mass under water.

Doctors Worldwide have provided extensive health and nutritional assistance to some of the worst affected areas of Nowshera and Sindh.

Our team on the ground responded in the emergency by treating sick and injured people that were affected by the floods.  Doctors Worldwide remained in Pakistan after the immediate emergency and developed a Health Clinic to provide ongoing medical care and nutrition support.  The affected areas of Pakistan had barely recovered when the floods of 2011 struck and once again devastated the country and affected millions more people.

We have provided 9,900 cooked meal parcels since 2nd August to newly arriving refugees and their families who are registering at the IFO UNCHR facility and in the Dagahaley transit area, Kenya. We have currently scaled up to support around 1,000 per day. We are not sub-contracting this kind of work and have set it up from scratch to ensure value for money and accountability.
